23th May 4 am : Let the journey begin........
After only 3 hours of sleep in Shin Jie's hse, we woke up and started to pack our stuff. Arrived at her cousin's house at about 5am and off we begin our journey to Ipoh!! The journey took about 2 hours due to lots of toilet stops because of me..hehe...paiseh.. but we still managed to went for the famous dim sum behind of the hotel before heading to the registration counter. Briefings were given and a short yet funny warm-up session was done..At 9.am sharp, the race begins....
Each wearing a striking green T-shirt, 11 teams of four were walking on Ipoh New Town looking up and down spotting for answers. There were two parts. The first part consists of 16 questions and a mission. While the 2nd part consists 14 questions and another mission. After completing part 1 questions, each team have to hand in the answer sheet at the mid point station before the 2nd part questions were given to them. Each question will earn the team 5 points while the missions are 5 or 10 points. As an extra, there were two treasures hidden in riddles, where each team have to guess what the treasures are and buy the treasure along the way to earn 10 point for each treasure bought correctly. In addition, there were also 5 bonus questions on health since this hunt was organized by Bio-Life.
The entire hunt limit is 3 hours and for every minute late, the team will be deducted one point.
Seriously, to win a walk hunt requires experience.. For many first timers like us, some questions doesn't make sense, while some answered correctly but wasn't given the marks because of the wrong way in giving the answers. Anyway, this walk hunt was really fun and I absolutely will go for another if there's a chance. Those who've never tried one, go hunt for one now!! Not that the prizes are attractive, *all health products only, but the experience itself was fun!! You get to practice your thinking skill and also learn to really observe all the details around you. When I say detail, I mean it. The answer was like, when you use a camera, you have to zoom in, zoom in and really zoom in. Or else, you will never find the answer. Those winners must be really experienced...because out of 215 points, they managed to get 210 points. Wow....and the questions really susah leh.. maybe because we're amateurs..haha....By the way, Bio Life is organizing this hunt thingy all over msia, the next hunt will be in Penang in June I think, or was it July, while the KL hunt will be in August. So people who're interested, can start registering...
Anyway, on our way back, we stopped by at the Kek Lok cave. The cave was not the Gua Tempurung kind, as in spooky, deep and lots to explore one..This cave was already "opened" by the locals there and a few religious statues were built inside. Even so, there were still some cool stalactites in there. hmm..i miss exploring caves.....
At about 5 pm, we left Ipoh, and surprisingly, Shin Jie and her cousin planned to eat steamboat in Kepong, so I get to go back to church to join the youths. After surprising Brandy at her house, the youths went for dinner at the tom yam place and then....off we went to the curve. HEHE...all the kepoh ppl...we went to the curve to show our supports to our respected youth leader who planned to propose there. We were with the -drop the banner- group while Lynette joined the -T shirt- group. Since over hundred of people in the curve witnessed the whole thing, so I guess he wouldn't mind me blogging bout it here.. The youths joined the banner group where the banner was dropped ( okay..mayb not drop..put?? set?? roll?? let? dunno la) down from 1st floor, so we didn't get to hear what they were saying therefore we just cheered non stop...Lol....syok sendiri only....haha...
wakaka.. anyway, he succeeded and yea...it really was like in the movies. So dramatic......
okay..enough of talking....lets see some photos...
the 2L2c group....and finally.....THE couple....and the youths..
the crews...
