Finally on Thursday...the long await futsal day arrived....after waiting the entire 2 weeks for mr.HA mA gong to plan.....we went on Thursday...although it was supposed to be Football Kaki reunion....but...sad to say..only Flora n Tehz free to join us...so its just the guys and I as usual....plus Flora and Tehz...oh right..surprisingly....Oma and Grace joined in this time..too bad Donna left.....so...5 girls...and 7 guys...not that bad....it was quite fun..So long since I had a real football training...Coach Mark!! when will you be back?? I miss training....okay...back to the post...I din score any goals that day....but in the 2 minutes of being a GK, I managed to block 2 shots....and ouch...it really hurt!!! Hung Liang mmg scary.......Although we booked the court for 2 hours....we din exactly played 2 hours....and I've realised something from it......guys can really be more troublesome than girls.....(no offense...just plain comment)....all keep taking breaks and making phone calls....can't they just leave the real world for 2 hours for the sake of futsal???!!!!and the rental its not cheap leh!!!! Although the match was quite fun...I still think that the last time was better.......anyway....before Flora leave for India...we gotta go for another game..oh right...the watermelon juice after the match...ahhh....was just...yumm....nice!!!!

On Friday...skipped AGM to have lunch with MX..haha....hu noes Flora would be ther...sorry..Flora...then surpisingly....Pik Gee and Ean Boon came to join us for lunch....we had lunch in the same old same old Ipoh Chicken rice restaurant...and after helping Ean Boon to decide whether to take plan A, B or C..( which I will rather not talk about it here since it'll take hours to explain...)...we finally conclude the lunch with plan C....so...after hanging out in my house while waiting for my sis..while ean boon n pik gee watching camp rock...only I realized that my entire baby toe nail had came off....i think its from the futsal..surprisingly..no pain at all..thank god.....after my sis came home......we started our 'LRT pick up' journey with our hungry stomaches...(blame it on OMA...hehe).....starting with meeting Flora at Kelana...then Tehz hopped on at Paramount...then ZH squeezed in at Tmn Jaya....then finally...ended up in Ampang Park...oh right...forgotten to mention...we were actually heading for Grace's unofficial hse warming party....

When we reached her hse....a guard escorted us to the highest floor....its kinda scary.....her hse is a penthouse.....a really cool, big, stylish, yeng,.... did I mention cool already? aiya...a superb hse la...so nice!!!!! once we step out of the lif...we stepped into her house which had 4 floors in it.....at the ground floor..there are the kitchen, 2 or 3 bedrooms, living room and a mini theatre...2nd floor; another 2 or 3 bedrooms and another living room..3rd floor...you wouldn't be able to guess....its an indoor golf course...not big...but not small either....then at the top floor...which is the coolest one!!! its the rooftop with a swimming pool!!!! the swimming pool was the really cool kind...the kind that I've only seen in tv....where the pool water seems like it just flows down straight from the building?? the kind wher it has no end?? somemore..you get to see the whole KL view from ther.....so nice....we're going again on the 9th Aug...haha..the official hse warming one....ey n mx..u guys really gotta go...go thrash her swimmin pool....lol...

Saturday....sien...schooling day to replace the holiday that we yet to get...haiz...supposedly have to stay back for form 6 orientation after school....but I cabut again...my eyes couldn't even open.....reached home at 1.30pm and went straight to bed...only woke up at 5pm to get ready for YA......and we celebrated Lynnette's birthday..........we bought a cake but we decided not to suprise her in church like we always end up doing......in Spicy...my sis and I were the last ones to walked into spicy...because we were busy preparing the cake in the car...last minute plan to sampat...we took the sunglasses from the car and walked in to spicy like two siao po who wear sunglasses at night...and as if that's not crazy enough...we rapped the bday song on our way in.....so memalukan!!! haha....but...when I'm crazy ...I'm crazy...couldn't stop it until my senses came back and all I can do is to find myself a paperbag....fishnya....back home...stayed up till 2 am to finish Lyn's present...I managed to make the stand!!! haha..so happy...though a bit cacat...but at least its in one piece...:)

den Sunday....hmm...the usual sunday service...oh yah...today...I tried singing with sign language to accompany my cousin...it wasn't easy but it was quite fun....at least she wouldn't feel bored with me doing along...and sign language is also a language...so I get to learn an extra language too...then I left church early....was rushing back to meet with Reinette for high tea in the Legend hotel....thanks Reinette for the free meal and the extra 2 kg gained...haha...the food was okay...the fun part was we get to hang out and chat like we used to in primary school....

Now gotta go get more information from the actress...haha....

Mission Failed....sob

Have you ever wondered how strong is your will power? How determined are you? How easily tempted are you? Well, I did. So, after reading the article in the RAGE newspaper, I thought...maybe I should try it too...So, without hesitation....I just thought of doing it.

Hmm....are you trying to figure out what am I talking about here?? hehe.....well..okay...since I've succeeded...partially only, to be exact...hehe.....I'll tell you....

I've partially succeeded in being a vegetarian for more than 3 days!!! yeap....no meat..nor any food product that contains meat substance....

It all started with the usual newspaper reading session in school. Throughout form 6, our only entertainment in school is to read the free newspaper provided. The Rage. So, in last week entry, there's an article about a group of people who tried to resist the temptation of meat for 3 days. So, I just simply said to my friend..."hey...we should try that to...for health, will power, and it might be fun." and they were like..'yea..yea..you go do la.." Haha...Little did they know that I'm really up to it....actually, I didn't know it myself as well....

Until Monday morning, the moment I woke up, I just felt like challenging myself. So, I've decided to commit myself to it. Okay.....except for that part where I accidentally ate that quarter egg tart for breakfast. Seriously, I totally forgotten that I shouldn't be eating eggs. I know some vegetarians do eat eggs...but since I'm just doing this for 3 days, I might as well make it a little bit tougher by forbidding myself from eating eggs...then for lunch, I've prepared a whole plate of fresh vegetables, from carrots to tomatoes...after eating only I realised that mayonaise actually contains eggs. Opps...breakfast--fail....now lunch too??!! argh.... so...my friend said..."Haiz..I think you better start tomorrow." so I thought....fine....since the first day was such a failure...I might as well start on Tuesday...

So on Tuesday, everything went smooth...not much temptations around and the day went by easily...On that day my mum asked me..' Why do you want to be a vegetarian? What are you asking for?' and I was confused by her question. what am I asking for? I'm not asking for anything...huh??....then only I realised....she thought I was like those characters in the dramas...being a vegetarian in exchange to ask something from God...lol...then only I explained to my mum that "no I am not asking for anything...I just wanted to test my will power and determination"....lol....didn't see that coming..haha..

now...next....here comes the challenge...

On Wednesday, the girl guides club were having the installation....Lunch was provided. So, since I was the vice, I can't possibly skip it...so...I went for it..It was really tempting though....they had pizzas...and everyone was enjoying the food....and almost everything contains meat in it. Fortunately, I managed to grab myself a piece of vege pizza. hehe...not too bad after all....
Then later in the evening, gathering with friends in Marco's Pizza..yeap...pizzas again!!! I didn't eat anything though....since I was heading to Cathay later for the premier of The Dark Knight!! yay...got free tickets..haha....

Since the gathering was short......I managed to handle it...then...for dinner..we end up in Kim Gary in the Curve... when I looked at the menu...."baked cheese rice with meat, noodles with meat, even the soup contains meat"...everything also meat....finally I managed to find something without meat in it. French toast....opps...now that I thought about it......French toast contains eggs right?? ooopsy.....another failure....argh....I really didn't thought about that...haiz....and I thought I was somehow successful...yea right........wait..... for Monday dinner, I didn't eat any meat...so maybe I can replace Wednesday dinner with Monday's...then I can get a full day without meat...hehe...cheating....

Anyhow....on Thursday....which should be the final day....I thought I didn't eat any meat as well....until I found out that the belacan I ate this morning contains prawn...Haiz...so I guess....I have to replace it with tomorrow's breakfast...Haiz.......sad....

That made me realise something....almost everything we eat contains meat.....unless you really just eat fresh vegetables and vegetables only....the amount of meat a normal person consume in a day is actually a lot....I didn't know this until I stopped eating it.....this mission was certainly not accomplished!!! Haiz...I guess I'll just have to redo it next time....can't continue this weekend since I'm going for sushi lunch on Saturday with my church friends.....can't say no to sushi.....can I?

ONE LIFE...Do Something

Today, I went along with a few friends from school to an exhibition in Dream Centre, DUMC. I used to attend that church when I was little....That was before they shifted though.. Anyway, the exhibition is named ONe Life exhibit. Its main objective is to put you into the shoes of the children who are affected with HIV/AIDS and child trafficking.

I heard about this exhibition thingy from my friend last year, but I've never been to the exhibition. I was kinda surprise when I see how it works. At the beginning, you'll be guided on things to do and not do during the exhibition before you are given a mp3 player to be hung around your neck. A character will be given to you, and for that whole journey, you're suppose to be that person and experience his/her life.

Throughout the journey, you'll be guided from room to room by the narrator's voice through the earphones. There are a total of 3 different characters for you to experience and since we have time and not many people were there, we went for all three characters. My first character was Jothi from India. I'm not gonna tell you how her life goes because I don't wanna ruin the suspense for those who are reading this and have yet to try the exhibition.

Anyway, the moment I stepped through the curtains, I can smell the flower scent. It makes you feel like you're really in India. Furthermore, the noise from the surrounding that was played from the mp3 made it even more real. Stepping through each curtain leads me to the living place of Jothi, the place where she worked and it really puts me in her life. My friend told me that there were people who cried throughout the journey, and I didn't believe it at first. But, undeniably the journey was really heartbreaking and touching. I didn't cry though. Was too fascinated by the idea on how they came up with this exhibition to make you go through the unfortunate children's life.

Anyway, at almost the end of the journey, you'll end up in a room called 'health clinic' which really looks like a clinic and from there you'll move on to the counter to check if you're HIV positive or negative. Of course, they won't really run the test on your blood and stuff...they'll just stamp your hand with the positive sign if you're infected by HIV and vice versa. But the story did not end there. If you're stamped as HIV positive, you're suppose to sit at the bench and wait for a HIV negative individual to 'rescue' you when they offer you their hands. 2 out of 3 of the characters were infected by HIV so you do the math.

The first character I got wasn't infected with HIV so I get to save others and lead them out of the room. But the 2nd and 3rd one which I tried later weren't that fortunate. I sat there at the bench for quite some time but no one came to save me....my friends were all HIV positive too since we went through the same character. So after the music ended, we just left the room without being rescued. Through that I realize, even if I wasn't really been infected by HIV, the feeling of being abandoned, the feeling of no one coming to save you can really be felt. Can you imagine how the HIV positive patients really felt when all their family and friends isolate them when they found out that he/she is infected by HIV? Therefore throughout the whole journey, there were poster pasted everywhere emphasizing that " Discrimination Killed them, not HIV"....and indeed it is really true. None of them choose to be infected by this deadly disease...Some got infected even before stepping into this world...moreover, HIV disease can't be pass/spread through saliva/ skin contact....so there's absolutely no reason for people to isolate the patients actually...

After leaving the health clinic, you'll move on to a reflection room where many pictures potraiting the patients and their families which were affected by HIV were hung all over. After that, you'll be given a bracelet and then you're free to leave message at the wall of hope. Although the entire journey took only about 20 minutes, it really reflects a lot and the message was clearly shown. It really gave me a whole picture of the person's life and how blessed am I to be here, living comfortably.
They are all ordinary people just like us, but their life are so much tougher compared to us. We were encouraged by the volunteers to spread the word to our friends about this meaningful exhibition. So here am I, encouraging you guys to go for the exhibition. It's really a good experience.
