the journey of meeting inspiring individuals.......
just 3-4 years back, he was just a normal student like us. Graduating diploma with little experience.
touched by a war-photography journalist video and here he is, one of the well achieved photographer in the nation. check out his work here :)
last saturday, fortunately, we had the chance to interact with him after the talk. we sat in the cafe as he continues to share with us his experience and how he look at things. the way he speak and the way he look at things were really inspiring. where he is now is the living proof of what he's saying. he is what he wants to become. and with no difference, we can achieve the same thing as well..
"you need to know what you want"
"visualize your goal to the specific details like the date and time and duration to achieve. counting back down to what you need to do TODAY. start today and you'll be there in time."
"have you been in a protest? if you haven't, you don't know how they feel. do not judge."
from the things he had been through, there is a distinct maturity and openness in how he view things. we all have choices in life. what we are is part of what we choose to become. and there's a part of me who knows i want to be like him. not to be a photographer, but to be who he believe he wants to be. and i want to be who i want to be. to be able to stand firm in my beliefs and stay loyal to my dreams. to become what i want to become. to achieve what i want.
another inspiring person to meet. well known yet as humble as ever. mr architect chiaki arai.
though i was sooooo sleepy during the talk due to staying up late the night before, i tried my very best to absorb as much as i could. was blessed to be able to attend the talk. too bad i didn't dare to take a pic with him. only managed to help my friend took one. i should have just thicken my "face skin" and ask for a photo with him... regrets regrets!! anyways, at least i said hi to him. heh :) he's so cool....
its just so nice to meet people like them. they're human and i'm human. its really inspiring to see what they can achieve. it is as if they're telling me that i can do the same thing too. total respect to these people. people with dreams and passion are just so attractive... i like them....and i just can't help it ^^
