6G Reunion

Date: 7 Feb 2009 Saturday

Back in 2001 for the guys.....

right now in 2009

while the girls....seven years back...

and now.....

Living through the doing nothing days in my mum's office gave me the privilege to daydream and online almost every second, the thought of organizing a gathering for my standard six classmates suddenly pop out of no where. Wondering how they might look and turn out to be after seven long years really tempt me to organize a simple gathering to meet up with everyone, though there were a few of us who met up at least once a year, there were a few whom I've never seen since graduation. So, old phone books were taken out of dusty boxes, while facebook and windows messenger came in really handy, and I started sending and leaving messages to the few that I still have contact with. In the beginning it was really disappointing. 4 out of 39 have agreed to attend, the usual active ones couldn't make it on that day, a few went to study abroad while mostly return no replies at all. With only four on the list, I was hesitant. should I postponed or should I just cancel it?? With just 3 days left to THE Day, I sat in front of the computer screen again. Giving one last try, I left messages online, sent a few sms, and said a simple prayer. Frustrated as I was. I talked to the Lord as I waited, for patience and a peaceful heart. Reinette said, don't worry, people will come. Will they really come?? Will the gathering be awkward? Will there be absolute silence?? Then, when it was about midnight, miracle happened, God has once again prove that if we just have faith and wait for the Lord, everything is in His hands; my phone was flooded with replies and msn conversation blinking and blinking... weeee...Thank you God....surprisingly about 30 replied and 9 confirmed that they're coming. Really, what more amazing things can God do?? You never know. Marx was back from Australia for two months, and Kim Tat was back from Taiwan for two weeks. Clara and NurHanaa whom we've never met since graduation. There's no greater timing to held this reunion.....Once again I was filled with anticipation.....

Hence that day, 8 turned up. Despite the fact that all of us have not meet each other for a long time, conversations came after conversations. Everyone was so excited. Talking about the old times, the present and also the future. It was really fun. A few even volunteered to held the next gathering, and outing was also set for the next weekend. Lol....I'm really glad I took the first move to organize this gathering. Old friends are back in the picture and the bond is getting stronger. Big thanks to Reinette, Dim Sy and Of course, THank YOu God........
signing off with Zhi Liang's delicious lemon flavoured, cookies base, covered by cream with peach topping cheese cake... yummyumm...@@
