The competition was held at the beachfront of the Holiday Villa Resort in Cherating. Began at 8.45am, 14 groups, minimum of 2 person and maximum of 4 person in a group, began constructing their sand castle. After the first hour of building the foundation, the judges began their preliminary judgment on teamwork and costume. And after excruciating 3 hours under the bright hot sun, the competition ended with a blow of whistle. HOT HOT hOT!!!! but fun fun fun!!! With all the tools we brought, building a nice sculpture isn't that difficult. If only we are given more than 3 hours, I bet our sculpting would be more neat and detailed.
Anyway, lunch was then provided and result was revealed. There were prizes for best teamwork among students group, and best teamwork among family group, and of course, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placing. As I mentioned earlier, my group won!! But we won the best teamwork prize. It was out of expectation though, because we didn't plan to win, but of course we were thrill. Moreover, the prize is quite luxurious. A 3 days 2 nights stay in the Holiday Villa Resort in Langkawi, and 2 big hampers. :) Yeap. All for the 4 of us. Other than us, there's another team from Alfa who won. And they got 1st. The prize includes a 4 days 3 nights stay in Holiday Villa Resort in Langkawi, 2 hampers and RM3000.
oh yaa...by d way, the beach is really nice but super not fun. Cause got lotsa jelly fish....even on the beach bay. A few of my friends got stung by it. There's even snake on the beach....and also , there was this plane, flying sooooo low when it past by our head. It really scared us as we thought it was going to land on us. Thank god no one was standing, I was thinking if a tall guy raised up his hand, he might actually grab the bar and fly with the plane. Seriously dangerous beach.
okok...I'm always so long winded. Lets' see some photos..
The gang I joined in this trip
I really enjoyed their company. Fun people. We chat till 3 am. With only 2 hours of sleep before the competition. ahh Aint trip always meant to be like this? hehe... moreover, I managed to find a brother in Christ in this gang. We even did bible study during midnight. haha. It was indeed a refreshing session. Glad that there's at least one to share about Christianity in college.
