Officially TWO years

This day, 2 years back...was the day she arrived...so timidly crawling into the house...
She sniffed as she crawled, so tiny and small...in just about 2 weeks old.....

21st August 2006 is the day when Dookoo Chong came.
With only 2 weeks of age, she was merely the size of my shoes. We adopted her from a friend of my brother. My mother had never allow us to have a dog, one of the reason was my breathing problem. But I've grown up, stronger than before...I guessed that made her changed her mind. We looked at her as we continue thinking on what name should we give her. A few days passed, and I suggested Twinkle, but my siblings said it's eww.. so we moved on from twinkle to some other names and my sister gave a crazy idea. It was Duku season, everyone was eating the fruit. When I went into the kitchen, I asked again, what name should we give her, and my sister crazily said as she was peeling the fruit, "aiya...just name her Duku Chong la." and we all stared at her.. that's how she got her name.

During the first 2 months, it was really tough, because she was barely a month old. She was so weak and tiny. We had to feed her milk every 4 hours. Including midnight. Those days were schooling days, and we had to stayed up till 2am every day, to feed her and then quickly go to bed because we have to feed her at 6am again. It was not easy, but at least I had company. Mostly, my sister will stay up with me.

She grew real quickly. Before I've noticed, she's already doubled her size. Then there goes all the biting, and running. And not until she grew, then only I've realized that I've actually never taken any picture of her when she was still a puppy. Except for the only one that I've took using my handphone. and even this picture, is not a clear one. regrets.. regrets...

I still remember, the first walk I brought her. Her legs were shaking as she walked. My uncle laughed at her, I felt bad for her but gradually she grew strong.

Then, the first time I brought her to the Vet. She was so frightened that she peed on the weighing scale. haha. Then, the first time she puke, I was worried sick. I thought she was going to die. Talk about being paranoid. haha.

Thank God, she's still here. As active as ever. She just got me 2 bruises last week. Anyway, no matter how many bruises she gave me, how many favourite shoes of mine had she torn, how many football of mine had she burst with her strong teeth, she will still be my beloved dookoo... and I'll always love her.. eeeeee..now I'm having gooesbumps.....haha.

and Finally, the last but not least. HAPPY BIRTHDAy doooookooooooo~~~~~
