LA's 14th Anniversary

Last Sunday, 12th October, we celebrated Life Assembly's 14th Anniversary.

The service started at 10.30am. The praise and worship session was lead by Kevin. The crowd was bigger than usual as Pastor Sam brought his church members over; Esther and her family also came. And...wow..she really looked different. More...grown up I guess. She's only sixteen and already she looked more mature than me, with the make up and everything. Talking about that, not only her, Jeannie also "transformed". In a good way of course, starting to apply make up and stuff. Everyone seems to be getting better. Except me, not in anyway. Height---definitely not improving, studies---you think!!, personality---I don't think I'm more kind today compared to the day before and definitely not more hard working. Oh well, where am I heading, this post is suppose to be about the anniversary.

BAck to the Point....

After praise and worship session, Pastor Andrew gave a presentation on the ministries LA is involved in, giving focus on the ministries in Batam. After that, it was our turn to present. The four of us, Jeannette, Christine, My sis and I, named "The Kepong Statues" by Kevin (I wonder where that came from) , presented a song entitled "Unfailing Love". This was my first time performing singing. I wasn't really good at singing, and with my sis, Chris and Jeannie, my voice sounds like erm.....how to say??...guyish?? Their voices are so smooth and gentle while mine is so rough and rough? lol...There isn't much problem when we sang together, but my solo part??....eee.....
I guess I wasn't really good at singing. But, you've gotta try everything, right? So now that I've tried singing, there's no regrets. At least I've tried. It was fun practicing though....we started practicing at the night before the performance. very last minute, but it went on well.

After the performance, it was sermon. Esther's father, a lawyer, was the speaker for the day. Then...later, it was lunch time. wee...this year, there were so many food. Not only that, there were so many fruits as well. Just eating the fruits alone are filling d. Of course, it was God's blessing that provided us with such luxuries....yummy...
After lunch, we chit chatted around till about 2 plus. This year's anniversary was great. I wonder if I'll get to join next year's celebration. Who knows where will I be by then.... but I guess no matter where I go, I'll never forget this big family that God gave me.
